At Bethel Bio Luxury Hotel the challenge was to create a stay that belonged to the Tatacoa desert without competing with it, while holding a high standard of exclusivity, privacy and closeness to the landscape. In Zona Cielo that challenge grew: we wanted the guest to feel a direct relationship with the horizon, the sky and the sheer scale of the territory.

Our design decision was a light, organic architecture in which timber, curved geometries, lattices and framed openings let the landscape pass through the rooms. We gave priority to the views, to daylight, and to a siting that worked with the existing conditions of the terrain rather than against them.

The result is an immersive experience in which architecture and nature read as a single composition — reinforcing Bethel's identity and building a deep emotional connection with the desert.
